From Customer to Teammate: My Journey with Videate

From Customer to Teammate: My Journey with Videate

Hi, Customer Success friends!
Shelby here from Videate’s Customer Success team, helping Videate users streamline and scale their product tutorial processes.

Before joining Videate, I worked in an organization where creating videos for feature releases, quick tips, and internal training was part of my daily routine. We used Videate to automate the process — and it completely transformed how I worked.

Now I've gone from being a Videate fan to part of the Videate team!

Before Videate, updating videos after a simple UI change meant hours of re-recording, layering audio, and editing just to fix one small detail. With Videate’s new Studio platform, that pain disappeared. The process became quick, intuitive, and scalable. I could make updates in minutes instead of hours, and our videos always looked professional and consistent.

My Fav Feature:

One of my favorite new enhancements is Editor Sync. This feature allows video creators to edit and preview from anywhere, without having to rewatch the entire video each time they make a small change. Previously, every edit meant sitting through the full video — and while the AI-generated voices sound great, after 20 takes, anything can make your head spin. Now, you can tweak your script, preview just that section, and move right along seamlessly. It’s a small change that makes a huge difference for anyone managing multiple videos or frequent updates.

Customer to Customer Success:

Fast forward to today — I’m now two months into my role as Customer Success Lead at Videate, and somehow, I love the platform even more from the inside.

From my very first week, I felt an incredible sense of purpose and collaboration. The team at Videate is passionate, customer-obsessed, and constantly improving the product. Every feature enhancement, every update, every conversation revolves around one goal: helping customers create exceptional videos effortlessly.

It’s a tight-knit group of innovators who genuinely care about making the platform seamless and powerful — not just for video creators like I once was, but for every customer who wants to scale their content without sacrificing quality.

And that culture starts at the top. Ryan Arnett, our CEO, is deeply involved in supporting the team — always ready to jump into a discussion, share insights, and clear roadblocks so we can focus on what matters most. He’s not your typical CEO — he’s approachable, collaborative, and, well… a pretty cool CEO. It’s rare to see that kind of leadership, and it’s one of the many things that makes Videate such a special place to work.

Looking back, using Videate as a customer gave me the spark — but joining the Videate team turned that spark into full-blown passion.
