Jack Lombardi here, resident product demonstrator from the Videate Sales team.
In my role at Videate, I have the pleasure of showing new teams how Videate works, which means I also get a front-row seat to their first impressions.
If you tried Videate prior to the release of Studio, you probably experienced just how powerful automatically updating content can be—but you also probably felt some of the friction that came with it.
That’s why I want to show you how Videate has raised the bar with our new Studio experience. We kept all the auto-updating power of Legacy, but added the smooth, intuitive usability of a next-gen editing console.
The result? Faster first-video creation and a polished, professional feel—without the learning curve.
When we first built Videate, we were proud: “Look at us—we’ve automated video creation for SaaS!” And to be fair, we did. Legacy could crank out step-by-step software tutorials straight from your docs and platform.
Powerful, yes. Pretty? Not so much. Like a Ferrari engine in a Honda Civic.
Think of it like a BlackBerry: cutting-edge in the 2000s, clunky today. You could get the job done, but only with patience—and some technical chops.
Enter Videate Studio. This is where we asked, what if making SaaS training videos didn’t feel like tax season? What if you didn’t need a production background to get clean, polished results?
That’s enough metaphors. Here’s how the glow-up looks IRL:
Videate Legacy will always be part of our story—but Studio is the product that takes SaaS training videos to the next level.
If Legacy was our Blackberry, Studio is a flying car. And if you’ve ever made a SaaS training video the old-fashioned way, you deserve Studio.
